State Bank of India: The Press Information Bureau of India or PIB has recently issued a warning to all State Bank customers to avoid a new fraud trap. Through an advisory of the central government's nodal agency, it has been learned (SBI Alert) that fraudsters are sending fake messages to customers to get reward points by downloading a dubious app. In this way, the fraudsters are emptying the bank account (Cyber Scam) very easily, many customers are the victims. A new scam has started in the name of 'SBI Rewards'.

The Press Information Bureau recently informed on their social media that such a fake message is spreading among consumers everywhere which is basically fraudulent. PIB has tried to make all customers aware of this. The company said to refrain from clicking on such suspicious links. At the same time, he advised me to refrain from downloading any illegal apps on my mobile.

The Press Information Bureau has clarified that the State Bank of India does not send any such link to any customer through message or WhatsApp and does not ask to download any app. Therefore, this central government organization has told the customers that if such messages come to the phone from an unknown number, no one should click on them. Such a number may appear to be legitimate, but it is a trap for fraudsters to steal information. As a result, fraudsters can easily get all the sensitive information by clicking on the link or downloading the app.

One such screenshot shared by PIB shows such fraudsters sending messages to customers informing them that Rs 18,000 is waiting for them as SBI Net Banking Reward Points. The message also states that these reward points are available for a limited time. In this message, fraudsters also ask customers to download a mobile Android app called 'SBI Reward'. Through this, they can redeem those reward points. And if they download this app, this money will be directly deposited in their bank account, the message said.
