Aadhaar cards have become an essential document in modern life, required for a wide range of activities. Until now, people had to visit the district headquarters to apply for a new Aadhaar card or update their information. To address this issue, Aadhaar service centers will now be opened in all blocks, making the process faster and more convenient.
Aadhaar Centers to Open in All Blocks
Aadhaar cards are used for numerous purposes, including availing government schemes, school admissions, purchasing vehicles, and conducting property transactions. Despite its importance, some individuals either don’t have an Aadhaar card or need corrections to details like their address, date of birth, or mobile number. Currently, district residents must visit the district headquarters for these services, which is time-consuming and inconvenient.
However, this problem will soon be resolved. Aadhaar service centers are being established in seven blocks of Maharajganj—Paniara, Parataval, Ghughuli, Farenda, Dhani, Brijmanganj, and Lakshmipur. This move is expected to benefit around 30 lakh residents of the district.
Convenience for Local Residents
These new centers will significantly reduce the burden on the district headquarters and main post office, which currently see large crowds. Local residents will save both time and travel expenses as they will no longer need to travel long distances. This step will particularly benefit working individuals, elderly people, and women, who often face challenges when traveling.
Biometric and Demographic Updates Made Easier
In addition to issuing new Aadhaar cards, the centers will also offer facilities to update biometric and demographic information. Having all these services available locally means residents won’t have to make multiple trips to correct or update their Aadhaar details. This initiative is expected to streamline the process and provide significant relief to residents.
