Pension Scheme: The Employees Provident Fund Organization has announced that all the pensioners under the Employees Pension Scheme will get their pension for this month i.e. October before Diwali. This month's pension will be credited to the account of the pensioners on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Such notification has been issued by the Retirement Fund Organization (EPFO Update). An EPFO ​​circular on October 25 said that there are many holidays due to Diwali and other festive occasions in the upcoming festive season. And so the pension for October will be given today on the 29th. It is hereby informed that the pensioners (Pension Scheme) will get their pension earlier this month without any delay. As a result, since October 31 is a holiday during the festive season, pensioners can withdraw their pension only on October 30.

EPFO said it has given proper instructions to all regional and district-level offices to ensure that the banks complete the specified tasks properly and within the specified time so that the pensioners do not face any problems. The Employees Pension Scheme of 1995 is a social security scheme that provides financial security after retirement to people working in the organized sector of the country.

Both the employee and the organization are equally invested in this project. 12 per cent of the employee's basic salary goes to this EPS scheme and 8.34 per cent of the organization goes to contribute to the employee's EPS. EPFO members are only eligible for this pension scheme who have completed a minimum of 10 years of service and attained a minimum of 50 years of age to get an early pension. To get the benefits of a regular pension, the age of the worker should be a minimum of 58 years. This EPS scheme runs under the Employees Provident Fund which applies to both new and old senior EPFO ​​members. At present the minimum pension amount under EPS is Rs.1000 and the maximum pension is Rs.7500.
