Yes, till now the PF of the employees is deducted on a salary of Rs 15000. The government is preparing to increase it to Rs 21000. Not only this, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had also expressed his consent on this. Also, the result of the discussion about it in the Lok Sabha was positive. Sources claim that it will be officially announced before Diwali. If this happens, the employees will get huge benefits.

A decision can be taken soon

According to media reports, the Finance Ministry is planning to increase the basic salary. Not only this, the Labor Ministry has proposed to increase the salary limit from the current Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000. If the salary limit increases, private sector employees are expected to get a big benefit. According to the information, the salary limit for EPS has been Rs 15,000 since September 1, 2014, i.e. for about a decade. Now the ministry can take a decision on this soon. However, no official statement has been given yet as to when this announcement will be made. 

EPF contribution will increase

According to the proposal, the salary limit is expected to be increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000. This decision will increase the pension and EPF contribution of employees working in the private sector. If the government passes the proposal, the pension amount will increase. Due to which employees will get more money after retirement. Apart from this, due to increase in salary limit, more and more employees will come under its purview. 

Decision regarding DA also 

On the other hand, a decision regarding dearness allowance is going to be taken very soon. So far, the Finance Ministry is confused whether to increase DA by 3 percent or 4 percent. However, the government has to announce it before Diwali. Different states have also started it. But central employees are still waiting for dearness allowance.
