Meanwhile, for a decade now, employees and pensioners have been making many demands to increase the EPS 95 pension. In particular, the EPS 95 Pension Agitation Committee has gathered together several Union Ministers to plead their cause. Recently there were news that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also responded positively to this.

And Union Minister Mann Sukh Mandaviya has also given assurance to the pensioners of EPS 95 Action Committee. Meanwhile, many sources in Delhi are saying that the minimum amount of EPS 95 pension is likely to be increased to 7500. Under the EPS 95 pension scheme, about 70 lakh employees of private public sector organizations across the country will get pension. But this amount is very less. In this context, the pensioners are demanding to implement the pension system based on the minimum wage.
