Earlier this deadline was set to 14 September 2024, which has now been extended to 14 December 2024. This means that Aadhaar holders can now update their Aadhaar information online without any charge for the next 90 days. • First of all go to the official website of UIDAI official website of UIDAI 
• After that select MY Aadhar section then click on “My Aadhaar” and select “Update Your Aadhaar” option.
• Go to Aadhaar Self Service Portal (SSUP) : Now you will get the option of “Update Demographics Data Online”. Click on it to reach Aadhaar Self Service Portal (SSUP).
• Login with Aadhaar number : Enter your Aadhaar number and fill the captcha code. Then click on “Send OTP”. Login by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
• Update information : Now you will get the option to update your information. Click on “Name” option and enter the correct name.
• Upload supporting documents : Upload scanned copy of required certificates (like Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc.) to update the name.
• Submit : After uploading all the information and documents submit the form.
• Get URN : After successfully applying you will receive an “Update Request Number (URN)”. You can track the status of your update from this.

Usually the update process takes 5-7 working days, and after the update the new information will reflect in your Aadhaar card.

Steps to update address in Aadhaar card online

• First of all go to the official website of UIDAI official website of UIDAI
• Click on “My Aadhaar”: Click on the “My Aadhaar” tab on the homepage and select “Update Your Aadhaar” option.
• Login: Click on “Update Address Online”. After this, you will have to login by entering your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID and captcha.
• OTP Verification: After logging in, an OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it and verify.
• Address Update Request: After logging in, click on “Proceed to Update Address”. Now enter your new address and click on “Submit” button.
• Upload Proof: Upload a scanned copy of a valid address proof with the new address. Documents like bank statement, passport, electricity bill etc. are accepted.
• Review and Submit: Review all information and submit if it is correct.
• Note down the URN number: After submitting the request, you will receive an Update Request Number (URN). Through this URN, you can track the status of your application.

• Get URN : After successfully applying you will get an “Update Request Number (URN)”. With this you can track the status of your update.

It usually takes 5-7 working days for the date of birth to be updated, and it will reflect in your Aadhaar card once it is updated. Note that the date of birth can be updated online only once, so make sure you have entered the correct information.

After updating Aadhaar online, you can also easily order PVC Aadhaar card. PVC Aadhaar card is a small and secure card, which comes with your Aadhaar information. You can order it at home.

• First of all go to the official website of UIDAI official website of UIDAI
• Click on “Order Aadhaar PVC Card”: On the homepage, select the option “Order Aadhaar PVC Card” under the “My Aadhaar” section.
• Enter Aadhaar number or VID: After this, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit Virtual ID (VID). Also, fill the captcha code shown on the screen.
• Verification through OTP: An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Verify by entering the OTP. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you can also order a PVC card using a non-registered mobile number.
• Preview and Payment: After OTP verification, a preview of your Aadhaar card details will appear on the screen. Check it and then click on the “Make Payment” button to make the payment.
• Payment Process: You will have to pay a fee of Rs 50 for the payment, which you can do through credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking.

Order Confirmation: After the payment is successful, you will get a confirmation and a SRN (Service Request Number) through which you can track the delivery status of your PVC Aadhar Card.
