In a recent alert issued by PIB Fact Check, SEBI customers have been asked to be cautious of fake messages circulating on social media. The message appears to be from SBI, but it is fake. Customers are advised to download an APK file to redeem reward points in it.
According to the alert issued by the bank regarding such fraud messages, such messages are not true. SBI (SBI Message Alert) never sends any link to its customers via SMS or WhatsApp and does not even urge them to download APK files. To avoid scams, do not download any suspicious link or unknown file. This will help you control fraud.
