An announcement in Kerala that if you apply for a new Aadhaar card, verification will be done like a passport
Kerala notification that verification will be done for new applicants above 18 years of age for Aadhaar card
1/6
Aadhaar enrollment of 18 year olds in Kerala is done only at district and block level Akshayakendra centres.

2/6
Important reforms are being implemented to prevent fake Aadhaar. Earlier such reforms were implemented in Uttar Pradesh as well.

3/6
Now this process has been implemented in Kerala too. Aadhaar will be issued only if the officer is satisfied by meeting the applicant in person like passport verification.

4/6
The Village Officer will personally visit the applicants for verification of the new Aadhaar card applicants.

5/6
Candidates need not pay any separate fee for this. In Ernakulam and Thrissur districts, instead of the village officer, the secretaries of the respective local bodies will come for inspection.

6 /6
After applying for new Aadhaar, you will be advised to wait for confirmation from the state government. Later, Aadhaar card will be issued after conducting an inquiry with the documents to the local bodies.
