How much charge will have to be paid
According to UIDAI, Aadhaar users can update their home address, phone number, name, email ID etc. online for free. To do this work, you will need identity proof and other necessary documents. Keep in mind that if you get this work done from the Common Service Center i.e. CSC, then you will have to pay a charge of Rs 50 for this work. On the other hand, if you want to update information like photos, biometric, and iris in an Aadhaar card, then this work will not be possible online. For this, you will have to go to the enrollment center and also pay the charge.
How to update Aadhaar from home
First of all go to the official website https://uidai.gov.in/.
After this you have to log in. To log in, you have to enter the Aadhaar number and the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
Now you have to click on the option to update your Aadhaar. Here you will see your profile.
Now update your Aadhaar by clicking on it, then tick the checkbox 'I verify that the above details are correct' in the dropdown menu and submit.
Meanwhile, you will be asked for documents related to the update, upload all the documents and submit.
After the update request is accepted, a 14 digit URN number will be generated.
Save this number. Your Aadhaar will be updated after a few days.
You can check the status of your Aadhaar through the request number.
