Name: Unlike date of birth and gender, you can update your name up to twice. If you need to make changes due to marriage, legal reasons, or typographical errors, this provides some flexibility.

How to make corrections

You can make these corrections online through the Aadhaar self-service portal at a nominal fee of Rs 50. Alternatively, you can visit an Aadhaar enrolment center for assistance with these changes.

Aadhaar number: Once issued, your 16-digit Aadhaar number is permanent and cannot be changed.

Biometric data: Your Aadhaar card contains biometric details such as fingerprints and retina scans, which ensure the authenticity of the card and prevent duplication.
