LPG Price Surge: Commercial Cylinder Rates Jump by Rs 39 Today; Check New Rates

New Delhi: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 39, effective from September 1. With this hike, the retail price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi is now Rs 1,691.50.This sudden price increase is expected to impact businesses across various sectors, including restaurants, hotels, and small-scale industries, as they face rising costs.
Commercial LPG CylindersJust a couple of months ago, on July 1, OMCs reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 30, bringing the cost down to Rs 1,646 in Delhi. Before that, the price was lowered by Rs 69.50 on June 1, reducing the retail price to Rs 1,676. There was also a price cut of Rs 19 per cylinder on May 1. Previous Price CutIn August, the price of commercial LPG cylinders went up after a Rs 30 reduction in July. In Delhi, the price was cut from Rs 1,676 to Rs 1,646, and in Mumbai, it dropped from Rs 1,629 to Rs 1,598. After July's reduction, a commercial LPG cylinder in Chennai cost Rs 1,809, down from Rs 1,840. In Kolkata, the price went down to Rs 1,756 from Rs 1,787.Earlier, on June 1, the commercial LPG price was decreased by around Rs 69, following a Rs 19 reduction per cylinder on May 1.
