UPI Circle Details Update: Now you can use the same UPI ID in more than one mobile. The government has launched a new feature 'UPI Circle Delegated Payment Service' in the UPI app. By activating this feature, you will be able to add one or more people to your UPI app. All the added people will be able to make UPI payments from your bank account.

Through this, a maximum transaction of up to 15 thousand rupees can be done in a month. Suppose you are a parent and pay your child's college fees and other necessary expenses. Or you are a senior citizen who is not comfortable making digital payments.

You are a busy person who wants to delegate household expenses to others. Or you are a businessman who doesn't want to give petty cash to his employees.

Anyone like you can give access to your bank account to your dependents up to a certain limit through UPI Circle. The person you add to UPI Circle will be the secondary user and you will be the primary user.

What is UPI Circle?

UPI Circle is a digital solution wherein a payment user can allow someone to transact from their UPI account upto the required limit.

What is full and partial delegation?

Under full delegation, the primary user allows all his secondary users to transact up to a limit. The maximum limit in UPI circles is Rs 15,000. However, he will be able to transact a maximum of Rs 5000 at a time.

In partial delegation, the primary user allows his secondary users to initiate the payment process. However, the payment will happen only when the primary user enters the UPI PIN. The maximum limit of payment in this is equal to the full transaction i.e. Rs 15,000.
