Superstar Aamir Khan, director Anurag Kashyap and many actors have talked about how work has affected their personal lives. Now Gulshan Devaiah has spoken openly about the ups and downs in his life due to work. He also revealed that Gulshan is dating his ex-wife Kaliroy. Gulshan's wife Kaliroy is a Greek citizen. The two got married in 2012 and got divorced in 2020. They were good friends even after marriage, later they decided to give the relationship a second chance and now they are together.

Gulshan started his career in 2011 with the film 'Shaitan'. After this, till 2020, he appeared in only seven films. Meanwhile, he got married and got divorced. Gulshan said in an interview to the Indian Express that it was very challenging to handle the ups and downs of a career while being married. I was not fully prepared, I had to learn a lot about the industry, including acting. If people do not like the film in which I have acted, it affects me emotionally. Gulshan said, “People appreciate my work, but the films do not do good business, it affects me emotionally and I need to find a way to stop that effect.”

These things later affected my personal life as well. I am working in a field that is very volatile and unpredictable. After already dealing with a lot of pressure and frustration, I thought I needed more time to process these things. So I got less for other things. I got involved in all those businesses. But for everything you have to pay a price, and that's what I did,” says Gulshan.

He further added, After that I did not have enough time for friends, family as I was focusing on my art and career. If you are in a permanent job then you do not need to think much about these things. But in our case, we are not sure when we will get the next job, and then there is instability, which takes a lot of time and energy. He says that with time, he stopped worrying about whether the films worked or not and started feeling better.

He said, “There is some balance in the career, but still it is not stable. Instability still exists and it is a part of this business. I have to accept the fact that if I don't change with time, I will not be relevant. I remember 2011 was my year, people used to meet me with great enthusiasm, then the next year Ayushmann came and people used to meet him, then came Vicky Kaushal! So nothing lasts forever,” Gulshan said.
