Tollywood News Desk – Today the 70th National Film Awards were announced. South films dominated the awards for the 2022 films. The film that has won the Best Film Award this year is the Malayalam film Attam which means drama. This film is directed by Anand Ekarshi. At the same time, Rishab Shetty has received the Best Actor Award for the South film Kantara.

Kantara also won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. While the Best Actor has come from Kannada, the Best Actress award has also been given to a Tamil actress. Nithya Menon has received this award for the film Thiruchitrambalam. This film also received the award for Best Choreography. Kannada film KGF Chapter 2 also showed its magic at the National Film Awards, KGF 2 received the award for Best Kannada Film and Best Action Director. Both these films are from Hombale Films. Kannada film Ranga Vibhog has also received the National Award for Best Culture Film. The film that won the National Award for Best Editing is also a Kannada film.
