Aadhaar Enrollment ID (EID) is 14 digits long and is currently issued to individuals undergoing the application process for an Aadhaar card. Earlier, people without Aadhaar card could use their enrollment ID generated while applying for Aadhaar card. Now this method is not valid for some transactions or processes. Use of Aadhaar Card Enrollment ID to get PAN Card in India is now discontinued. Without an Aadhaar card, an individual can no longer use his Enrollment ID to apply for a PAN card. Additionally, the earlier practice of using Registration ID to file Income Tax Return (ITR) has also been discontinued.
