Various tactics of cyber crime are being adopted in the country. Now cyber fraudsters have started sending fake messages of cutting gas connections. People are being trapped in the name of these fake messages and money is being withdrawn from their bank accounts. Now Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has alerted its customers about this scam.
A messaging scandal
Let us tell you that fraudsters are scaring people by calling or sending messages that if they do not pay the outstanding amount immediately, their gas connection will be disconnected. These fake messages include a fake customer service number, and when a customer calls on that number, their money is deducted.
Be careful
Now IGL has advised customers to be cautious of such messages and phone calls. The company said that some individuals are sending fraudulent messages, in which they are claiming that the gas supply will be cut off tonight due to the customer's last month's bill not being updated. They are also asking you to call an IGL official on the numbers given in such fraudulent messages. Please do not follow such messages and do not call on the given numbers. Also, never pay through the link given in such messages or in cash. Pay your bills only through channels authorized by IGL.
