UP Old Age Pension: 52 lakh elderly people in Uttar Pradesh get old age pension, but till June 15, the first instalment was transferred to the accounts of only 20 lakh beneficiaries and 32 lakh elderly people are still waiting for pension.

UP Old Age Pension: Good news has come for 32 lakh elderly people in Uttar Pradesh and the government is going to send the first instalment of old age pension by July 31. Let us tell you that 52 lakh elderly people in UP get old age pensions, but till June 15, the first instalment was transferred to the accounts of only 20 lakh beneficiaries. Due to technical problems, 32 lakh elderly people have not been able to get a pension till now. Now the Social Welfare Department has claimed that the first installment of pension will be sent to the remaining 32 lakh beneficiaries by the end of this month and they will not need to visit the office.

Special arrangements made in the CDO office

For the 32 lakh elderly people in Uttar Pradesh who have not yet received the first instalment of old age pension, special arrangements have been made in the CDO office. Till now there was a problem in verification of the Aadhar card and linking the NPCI account from the bank to the NPCI portal, due to which the amount of old age pension could not be transferred. Now the officials of the Social Welfare Department claim that the first installment will be sent to 32 lakh beneficiaries by July 31.

Linking bank accounts on the NPCI portal is necessary.

The central and state governments now transfer any kind of benefit directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries. For this, it is necessary to link the bank account of the beneficiaries on the NPCI portal and instructions have been given for this. In such a situation, those beneficiaries whose bank accounts have not been linked on the NPCI portal yet must get it done. For this, they will have to go to their bank and submit an application to link the bank account to the NPCI portal along with an Aadhaar card and PAN card.

The special counter has been opened in the CDO office.

Special arrangements have been made in the CDO office to help the elderly and a counter has been opened where employees of the Indian Post Payment and Pension section are deployed. If an elderly person is unable to get an Aadhaar verification or NPCI link done with the bank, then these employees will help them. Along with this, if necessary, a new account will be opened in the post office by fulfilling all the standards in terms of pension, so that they can easily get an old age pension.

Beneficiaries will get Rs 3,000 each.

On June 15, Rs 3,000 each was to be sent under the first instalment of old age pension, but due to most of the bank accounts not being linked to the NPCI portal, the pension amount could not be sent to about 32 lakh beneficiaries. Due to this, many beneficiaries are constantly making rounds in the office of the Social Welfare Department. However, now it is a matter of relief for them and the remaining beneficiaries will be sent the old age pension money directly to their account in the next one week.
