EPFO has made arrangements to provide money to the family of the employees after their death in just three days. Let us understand here what to do so that the family can get the money sitting at home.
EPFO : If the earning members of the family who are employees or officers in a company die due to any accident or illness, then in that case the family members often have to wear out their shoes to withdraw the money deposited in the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) . But do you know that now after the death of employees or officers, it takes only 72 hours for the family members to withdraw the money. Actually, last year EPFO has started a new facility for its account holders. Now the matter will be resolved within just 3 days and the family members of the deceased employee or officer will get the money. EPFO has started a portal named Tatpar ( tatpar.org.in ) for this service. Under this, if the account holders of EPFO i.e. employees of any company die in any accident, then the facility of giving PF, pension, insurance immediately to their family members has been started . Obviously, with this facility, in case of demise of the main member or earning member of the family, there will be no need for the family members to wander here and there for help.
Family gets help from Tatpar portal
EPFO had instructed employers of all the institutions to upload all the information related to the employees on the Tatpar portal immediately. EPFO has taken a unique initiative for the family members or dependents after death, that the matter will be resolved within just three days. For this, EPFO has started the service of tatpar.org.in . If your and your family's details, nominee's details have not been made available in your PF account, then do this work today itself.You just have to do this work
The family of the deceased will have to go to the Tatpar portal and provide the name, UAN number , date of death and your work will be done within 72 hours. More than 12 lakh employees in India are PF members. These include employees and workers working in factories and mills.This facility is in the interest of more than 6 crore people
More than 6 crore people contribute their salary to PF in EPFO. Both the employee and the employer contribute equally 12% of the basic salary plus dearness allowance to the EPF account.This service was started only last year
The Tatpar portal was launched last year on 3 July 2023. The first case came in it on 5 July and was settled on 7 July 2023.-
