Cyber Crime: Along with the changing technology, the style of crime is also changing. Cyber crimes are increasing day by day. No matter how many precautions are taken, they cheat in various ways. They are sitting somewhere and paying money in our account. Crimes are also increasing in the case of UPI payments. But now let's know what precautions should be taken to avoid falling victim to these scams.
Lately they are telling you to send and scan the QR code saying that they will send you money. But remember that you don't need to scan a QR code for someone to send you money. Also, UPI PIN is used to send money but not to receive it. Keep in mind that if someone asks for your UPI PIN, it is definitely a scam.
Experts say that if someone calls and asks to download any app and enter UPI number, it should be considered a scam. So remember to enter your UPI PIN only on the PIN page and not in other sections of the app.
In recent times, frauds are also being done with fraudulent QR codes. This should not be done at all. Because there are more than one QR codes when going to a shop. In that case the code should be scanned and the name should be checked and transferred while making the payment.
Recently, cyber frauds are also happening through screen sharing. Bank information and login details are being shared through screen sharing apps. So experts say that if you get any questionable links, do not click under any circumstances.
