A rule has been changed by the Employees' Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO. This rule change has provided relief to more than 78 lakh pensioners. Now the pension process has been made very easy with the Digital Life Certificate. Under the new rule, people will now have the option to submit a life certificate sitting at home.
Biometric-based DLC is accepted by EPFO. To get a life certificate, the pensioner does not have to visit any bank, post office, or common service center. This facility of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization is being used in large numbers. The number of pensioners submitting DLC based on facial authentication technology has now increased to 6.6 lakh.
For this reason, the Employees' Provident Fund Organization has started this facility
People have the opportunity to submit life certificates with the help of face authentication technology sitting at home. Given the problems faced by pensioners in submitting life certificates and the constant complaints received, the Employees' Provident Fund Organization provided DLC service for pensioners.
This is how the face recognition app works
With its help, pensioners have the opportunity to submit life certificates from home using their smartphones. In this, the pensioner is identified immediately by facial scan. The work of identification in the UIDAI Aadhaar database is done through the face recognition app.
