How to Stay Protected from UPI Overpayment Scams 1. Double-check Payment Requests: Before approving any UPI request, always verify the sender and the nature of the request. Be wary of unexpected payment requests.
2. Verify Sender Details: If you receive a payment request from an unknown source or for an unexpected amount, confirm the sender's details through a call or message before proceeding.
3. Cautious with Unsolicited Messages: Scammers often send unsolicited messages with misleading claims. Verify the sender's identity and the purpose of the transaction before responding to or approving requests.
4. Don't Feel Pressurized: Never rush into money transfers based on phone calls, especially from unknown numbers. Scammers often use urgency and emotional manipulation to exploit victims. Stay vigilant and protect your money.
