EPFO has started a new process! Now money will come into the account immediately after claiming PF, the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given a big gift to its members. EPFO has eliminated the need to upload a copy of the passbook or cheque while claiming PF online. This will speed up the claim settlement and the PF money will soon come into the bank account.
Faster Settlement with New Process
According to the new circular of EPFO, a new process has been adopted for claim settlement. Under this, in online claims where bank KYC has been verified online by the bank and the rest of the verification documents have been digitally signed by the employer, there will be no need to upload a copy of the cheque or verified bank passbook. Till now, in most cases, claims used to get rejected if this was not done.
Identification by Specific Color
The special thing is that during the claim settlement process, the EPFO officer will know from the color of the website whether it is mandatory to upload a photo of the cheque or bank passbook in this case or not. For this, the accounts that have been verified online will be coded in green color, so that the officer can settle the claim quickly. If the account is not verified, then the red color code will appear. In such cases, a copy of the cheque or passbook can be asked for.
In which cases will exemption be given (Exemption in These Cases)
This exemption will be available only in those cases where the rest of the verification documents of the EPFO member are complete. These include online verification of bank KYC by the concerned bank or NPCI, verification of bank KYC by the employer using DSC and Aadhaar number verified by UIDAI, etc.
Information Sent to All Regional Offices
EPFO has informed all its regional offices about this. EPFO has sent a circular through email. In such cases, a message will appear in the PDF file related to the claim. It will be written that the bank has verified the KYC online and the employer has digitally signed. The facility of color coding will soon be started for the officers checking the claim. Till then they will have to check the file manually.
This is how verification will be done
- Verification will be done with the help of online bank KYC.
- The employer will check the bank account details using the Digital Signature Certificate.
- Then it will also be checked whether the member making the claim is Aadhaar verified or not.
