Now the process of getting LPG cylinders at ration shops will start here, regarding this new work, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has sent a proposal to the Food and Civil Supplies Department in which the cylinder has been offered to be sold at shops. Given this proposal, the Food and Supplies Department has written a letter to all the District Logistics Officers and has sought proposals from the operators of the shops operating here, soon it will be discussed. Let us tell you that only 2 and 5 kg cylinders will be available at ration shops. All ration dealers will get a commission on the sale of these cylinders for gas cylinders at these ration shops, in which 31 rupees will be given for a 5 kg cylinder and 15 rupees commission for a 2 kg cylinder.

According to the information about this scheme, it will be started as a pilot project in Rajasthan from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, and Sikar, after that other districts will be considered. Rules will also be set for ration dealers in which a ration dealer can keep a maximum stock of 100 kg of LPG in his shop in which he can either keep 20 cylinders of 5 kg or 50 cylinders of 2 kg.

Let us tell you that according to the gas distribution companies, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is Rs.806.50 the price of a 5 kg gas cylinder is Rs.457 and the price of a 2 kg LPG cylinder is Rs.203. But after this scheme, on taking a connection for the first time, you will have to pay Rs.1678.50 for a 5 kg cylinder and if you want to take a connection for a 2 kg cylinder, its price will be Rs.1188.
