New Delhi, April 29 (Tezzbuzz Reporter) Patanjali has also received a blow from the Uttarakhand government after the rebuke from the Supreme Court of the country. The Drug Control Department of the Uttarakhand government has banned 14 products of Yogaguru Baba Ramdev's Divya Pharmacy of Patanjali Ayurveda.

According to the notification issued by the Uttarakhand Drug Control Department, the license of Divya Pharmacy has been suspended for repeatedly publishing misleading advertisements about the effectiveness of its products. The state licensing authority has issued a directive to stop the production of 14 medicines of this firm used for cough, blood pressure, sugar, liver, goiter and eye drops. This order has also been sent to all the district drug inspectors.

The products of Patanjali's Divya Pharmacy which have been banned include Shwasari Gold, Shwasari Vati, Divya Bronkom, Shwasari Pravahi, Shwasari Avaleh, Mukta Vati Extra Power, Lipidom, BP Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, iGrit. Contains Gold and Patanjali Drishti Eye Drop. Actually Divya Pharmacy manufactures Patanjali products.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Court had recently asked Yogaguru Baba Ramdev to publish an advertisement apologizing publicly for not following the instructions to stop misleading advertisements of some products. Now the Supreme Court will hear Patanjali's case on April 30 to decide whether contempt charges should be filed against Baba Ramdev or not.
