Baba Ramdev’s Divya Pharmacy company has suffered a setback. Actually, the state licensing authority has banned 15 products of the company. This includes cough medicine from Divya Pharmacy and many types of tablets. Medicines of Divya Pharmacy have been banned in the case of misleading advertising.
Divya Pharmacy manufactures Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali products. On April 29, the state licensing authority directed Baba Ramdev’s firm to stop the production of 15 medicines used for cough, blood pressure, sugar, liver, goiter and eye drops.
What did the licensing authority say?
While imposing the ban, the License Authority said that by appearing before the Honorable Supreme Court on April 10, 2024, the Honorable Supreme Court was informed about the action taken in relation to the misleading advertisements made by Divya Pharmacy and Patanjali Ayurveda Limited, in the context of which this Action has been taken.
In the order, officials have banned BPgrit, Madhugrit, Thyrogrit, Lipidom tablets and Igrit Gold tablets used for blood pressure, diabetes, goiter, glaucoma and high cholesterol.

What is the matter?
In fact, recently the Supreme Court had asked Patanjali to apologize in the misleading advertisement case. Patanjali claimed in the advertisement that people’s sugar, high blood pressure, thyroid, liver cirrhosis, arthritis and asthma have been cured with Patanjali’s medicines. But, the doctors’ body said that Patanjali has consistently made false claims about the treatment of certain diseases with its products.
