LIC Fraud Waring: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Wednesday warned people against some people/entities involved in giving fraudulent advertisements on social media platforms by misusing photographs of senior officials, company brand name, and logo.
LIC has asked its policyholders and people to be cautious on social media platform X and check the authenticity of all such things.
LIC cautioned
LIC said in a public notice, "It has come to our notice that certain people and entities are misusing photographs of our senior officers or former officers, our brand name, and logo to advertise fraudulently on various social media platforms without our consent. We want to alert the public about such misleading activities."

The notice also asked the public to provide information about the 'URL links' of such fraudulent advertisements on the official social media accounts of LIC.
Action will be taken against fraud
LIC said, "We will take appropriate legal action against those found involved in fraudulent activities by using our brand without permission."
The corporation said that it is committed to ensuring that policyholders and the general public are not misled by such misleading advertisements.
