NPCI has recently allowed Paytm's parent company One97 Communications to transfer its users to new banks for UPI payments. Earlier in March, NPCI had authorized OCL to act as a Third-Party Application Provider (TPAP) within the multi-bank model. With this approval from the regulator, Paytm is now able to provide UPI services in collaboration with partner banks. If you are using a dual SIM phone, select the SIM slot associated with your mobile number. Verify your mobile number by sending an SMS from your device. After this select your bank from the list given and ensure that it matches the mobile number registered with your bank. Your bank account details will then be retrieved. If you are linking your bank for the first time, create a UPI PIN. You will need your debit card details for this step.
