Ujjwala Scheme:


In fact, last March, the Central Government had announced to increase in the subsidy given to poor women under the Ujjwala scheme by Rs 300 per cylinder. This subsidy was earlier till March 2024, which has now been extended till 31 March 2025. The subsidy is paid directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries. The central government used to give a subsidy of Rs 200 per cylinder to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme in May 2022, which was increased to Rs 300 in October 2023. This subsidy is available on 12 LPG cylinders annually. 10 crore families of the country are getting its benefit.
