Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) issued an alert for all members saying that EPFO never asks for the personal information of any member through phone, e-mail, or social media. Never share any personal information with anyone through all these mediums.

EPFO posted on its official social media account X and wrote that beware of fake calls and messages. EPFO never asks for any personal information from members through phone, e-mail, and social media.
Along with this, EPFO also shared a poster on social media, in which it was written that 'Be careful, be alert', never share your UAN/password/PAN/Aadhaar/bank account details/OTP or any other personal or financial details. Do not share with anyone. EPFO or its employees never ask for these details on message, phone, e-mail, WhatsApp, or social media.
File a complaint in the cyber crime branch
EPFO said in the poster that beware of fake calls/messages asking for such information and if anyone asks you for such information, immediately report to the police/cyber crime branch.
