EPFO: If you want to update any kind of details in your PF account, then account holders have the facility to change only five details at a time. If you want to make changes more frequently than this, joint reduction is required.

EPFO: This very important information has come to light for the members of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). If you want to correct the mistakes made in your name and profile in EPFO ​​account, then this is an opportunity for you.

According to the SOP amendment notification issued by EPFO ​​on March 11, 2024, while applying for changing the name of their parents, the member must submit Aadhar card in father/mother's name, a PAN card, 10th or 12th class certificate in father's/mother's name. You can submit marksheet and driver's license.

Joint reduction required for more than five changes

Errors like misspelled name, wrong date of birth, or wrong joining date lead to delay in PF payment. In such a situation, EPF members can make amendments or changes in their profile but there are limitations. A member can make changes to up to five of the eleven parameters during regular business hours. To make more than five changes in the PF account, Joint Declaration (JD) is required. After this, the further process is carried out by checking the EPFO ​​details before making this change.

According to the SOP for JD processing issued on March 11 this year, if the changes are in more than five parameters, the case will be thoroughly investigated by the OIC and action will be taken on such cases only after the reasons are duly recorded.
