
The central government has extended the deadline for free online Aadhaar card by another 3 months. Earlier the deadline given till March 14, 2024 has now been extended till June 14, 2024 and the central government has announced.
According to UIDAI, the deadline has been extended in response to people’s requests. Accordingly, Aadhaar can be updated free of charge on the ‘MyAadhaar Portal’ site. However, if you go directly to the Aadhaar center and update, you will have to pay a fee of Rs.50.
Aadhaar renewal is required every 10 years. You must ensure that your Aadhaar details are correct. That way you can update Aadhaar demographic data online without any charges.
How to update Aadhaar online for free?
1. Go to website uidai.gov.in.
2. There click on “My Aadhaar” tab and give “Update Your Aadhaar”.
3. Now it will take you to the Update Aadhaar Details (Online) page. Next click on “Proceed to Update Aadhaar”.
4. Now enter your Aadhaar card number and the captcha verification code there and give Send OTP.
5. Click on the OTP sent to your mobile number and login.
6. On the next page click and specify which of your Demographic data you want to update.
7.Submit and upload the requested documents.
8. That’s it now a service request number will be sent to your mobile number, you can track the status with it.
