LPG Price: On the occasion of Women’s Day, PM Narendra Modi has given a big gift to women. From today the price of domestic LPG cylinders has been reduced by Rs 100. PM Modi has announced this today through one of his posts on Instagram. Earlier, the cabinet of the Modi government approved extending the subsidy relief per LPG cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme for one year. This relief is available at Rs 300 per cylinder. With this announcement, other beneficiaries will now get the cylinder cheaper by Rs 100 from today.
In a post written on Twitter, Modi said, “Today, on the occasion of Women’s Day, we have taken a big decision of discount of Rs 100 on the prices of LPG cylinders. This will not only make the life of women's power easier but will also reduce the financial burden of crores of families. This step will also be helpful in environmental protection, which will also improve the health of the entire family.”
Now at what rate will the cylinder be available?
Till 9 o’clock the rates of domestic LPG cylinders were not updated on the website of Indian Oil. The price of a non-subsidized 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder is Rs 903 in Delhi and Rs 929 in Kolkata. Now after this announcement of the Modi government, it will be available for Rs 803 in Delhi and Rs 829 in Kolkata.
In Mumbai it will be available for Rs 802.50 instead of Rs 902.50 and in Chennai it will be available for Rs 818.50 instead of Rs 918.50. Let us tell you that the prices of domestic cylinders were last changed on 30 August 2023. On March 1, 2023, the rate of LPG in Delhi was Rs 1103 per cylinder. After this, it was made cheaper by Rs 200 in one go.
Beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme will get gas cylinders in the capital for only Rs 603.
The Center has decided to continue the subsidy of Rs 300 per cylinder to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme in the year 2024-25 also. About 10 lakh beneficiaries will get the benefit. They will get a subsidy on 12 cylinders in a year. The price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 903 but under the scheme, the cylinder will be available for Rs 603.
