Rani Mukerji doesn’t hold back when she talks, and she never lets anyone know what she thinks. The star recently spoke at the FICCI Frames 2024 event in Mumbai, where she praised the Hindi film business.

The actress talked about her happiness at the return of the theater business, praising hits like Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Tiger 3, Animal, Leo, Salaar, Jailor, Carry On Jatta 3, and RDX.
All of them made history at the box office in the same year and brought people to the theaters. Pathaan came out at a time when single-screen movie theaters were going out of business. I love how my business has shown the world that Hindi movies can’t be ruined by mean people on social media.
Rani also said, “It was also the year when the underdogs won, those who challenged the status quo won.” She was talking about the importance of content-driven movies. Everyone thought that content-driven movies would only do well on streaming services and not in theaters. But movies like Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, 12th Fail, The Kerala Story, Oh My God 2, Baaipan Bhaari Deva, Kabuliwala, Kathal, and others proved them wrong.
“This year was a myth-busting landmark in the movie business. We were able to connect with the audience because consumers had changed and wanted us to give them something new and different.” With their wide range of feelings and timeless stories, movies have long been a source of happiness, inspiration, and unity for millions of people around the world. “This year has been a very rough one for Hindi films,” the star said.
