ISRO URSC JRF Vacancy: ISRO's UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru, operating under the Department of Space, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive. A total of 17 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions will be filled through this recruitment. Eligible candidates who have completed their studies can apply online via the ISRO website (isro.gov.in) between June 12, 2026, and July 11, 2026. Fellowship and Terms
This fellowship is initially for 2 years, extendable based on performance. The maximum duration is 5 years (combined JRF + SRF). Selected candidates will receive incentives to pursue a PhD. They will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000 as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), which will increase to ₹42,000 upon becoming a Senior Research Fellow (SRF). House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided if hostel accommodation is not available; however, Dearness Allowance (DA) will not be granted.

JRFs will be entitled only to casual leave, while female candidates will be eligible for maternity leave. Other government benefits will not be provided, though canteen facilities will be available.

Selection Process
Candidates for this recruitment will be selected based on screening and an interview. Initially, candidates will be screened based on their academic qualifications and application details.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview; meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call. Subsequently, the interview will be conducted in Bengaluru. Call letters will be sent via email, and the final results will be published on the ISRO website.
