Weather changed in Delhi-NCR, strong storm and clouds increased the coolness.

New Delhi Weather : The weather suddenly changed in Delhi-NCR on Monday and people got relief from the scorching heat. The rain in Gurugram, Delhi, Noida and many surrounding areas in the morning made the weather pleasant. During the afternoon, strong winds and dust storm changed the weather pattern in the entire area.

Relief from morning rain

The day started with light to moderate rain, which brought down the intense heat and humidity that had been prevailing for the last few days. Due to rain the temperature dropped and people felt relieved. In many areas, people were seen coming out of their homes and enjoying the pleasant weather.

In the afternoon the weather suddenly changed in Noida, Delhi and other parts of NCR. Dense dark clouds covered the sky and there was a strong dust storm at many places. Due to the strong winds, the effect of heat reduced to a great extent and coolness was felt in the atmosphere.

The heat made me miserable on Sunday

Earlier on Sunday, people in Delhi-NCR had to face heat and humidity. According to Meteorological Department data, the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.2 degrees Celsius, which was 1.8 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 38.5 degrees Celsius, which was 1.4 degrees less than normal. However, during the last 24 hours, an increase of 4.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in the minimum temperature and 2.9 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature.

Heat may increase again next week

The Meteorological Department estimates that the current relief will not last long. There is a possibility of strong sunshine in Delhi-NCR during the next one week. By June 20, the maximum temperature can reach 41 to 42 degrees Celsius. Due to this, people may once again have to face the heat.

Meteorological Department had issued an alert

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted a dust storm with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and light rain or drizzle in some areas during Monday afternoon and evening. The changes in weather seen throughout the day proved the department’s forecast correct.
