Australia ended the ODI series on a high with a dramatic one-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third and final ODI in Mirpur.
Chasing 275, opener Cooper Connolly produced a magnificent 149 off 134 balls, striking 13 fours and six sixes to anchor Australia’s chase. Despite a brilliant career-best 6/48 from Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam, Australia held their nerve and reached the target with three balls remaining. Adam Zampa sealed the win with a boundary in the final over after Connolly’s dismissal left the visitors needing four runs.
Earlier, Towhid Hridoy scored 83, while Litton Das and Mosaddek Hossain added unbeaten half-centuries to help Bangladesh post 274/5. Bangladesh still secured the series 2-1.
