The unexpected run-out involving Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill during the first ODI against Afghanistan has become a hot topic among cricket fans. Rohit was visibly frustrated as he walked back to the pavilion, sparking widespread discussion. Recently, Shubman Gill shared insights about the aftermath of this incident in the dressing room.

The confusion arose when Rohit nudged a delivery from Afghan spinner Allah Ghazanfar towards mid-on and sprinted for a single. Meanwhile, Gill remained stationary, watching the ball. As Rohit advanced halfway down the pitch, Ghazanfar obstructed Gill's path, preventing him from running. Consequently, Rohit had to retreat, but a swift throw from the fielder resulted in his dismissal for just 16 runs.

After the match, when questioned about their conversation regarding the run-out, Gill recounted, "I know he watched the replay later in the dressing room. After that, he just came to me and said, 'Hey, it's no problem at all.'" Gill also noted that Rohit had experienced a similar run-out against Afghanistan in a previous T20 match.

Despite Rohit's early exit, India secured a comfortable victory in the match. Gill played a pivotal role, scoring an unbeaten 84 runs, which helped the team chase down the 195-run target with 13 balls remaining, winning by 7 wickets. He hit 11 fours and 2 sixes during his innings.

Gill also commended Afghanistan's opener, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, for his impressive century. He remarked, "Both teams approached this match almost like a T20. We started well, but Gurbaz's exceptional batting momentarily shifted the momentum. However, we managed to recover. The pitch was excellent for batting, and while the ball gripped a bit during our bowling, it became easier when it was our turn to bat."
