Fan Replacement Scheme: BSES has launched a fan replacement scheme in Delhi. Under this scheme, you can get a new 5-star BLDC fan in exchange for your old household fan. While it is not entirely free, the discount offered is substantial. If you are a BSES (Rajdhani or Yamuna) consumer, you can avail a discount of up to 89% on a fan.

How is a BLDC fan different from a normal fan?

BLDC fan technology is energy-efficient and helps reduce electricity bills. The Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor operates on direct-current electricity; unlike induction motors that use electromagnets, BLDC motors utilize permanent magnets. Permanent magnets result in lower heat loss and consume less energy compared to electromagnets. They also function effectively during power fluctuations and low-voltage conditions.

Who can avail the benefits?

All BRPL domestic consumers can avail the benefits of this scheme. If you have no outstanding electricity bills, you can easily register for this scheme. You can apply for up to three fans under this initiative.

Which fans are available?

Under the fan replacement scheme, you can get fan models from the following manufacturers:

Halonix Technologies Private Ltd,
Atomberg Technologies Private Limited,
Kent RO System Pvt Ltd, and
Adhunik Switchgears Private Limited.

How to apply?

To apply for the fan replacement scheme, visit the official website of BRPL or BYPL. Navigate to the 'Schemes' section, click on the 'Fan Replacement Scheme,' and complete the registration process. To register, you need to enter your name, CA number, email address, and mobile number. Then, complete the registration by entering the OTP sent to your mobile number.

The process does not end there. You must log in again and register a different mobile number. Next, provide details such as the type and model of your old fan and submit the required documents. Once this is done, the process will be complete, and you will be able to check when you will receive the new fan.
