Now local MLA Nawab Jan Khan has taken a very strict stance on the allegations made by former district general secretary of SP and former block chief Engineer Iqbal Hussain. The MLA has bluntly rejected Iqbal Hussain’s claims and shown him a mirror of the past.

Actually, this whole controversy started when Engineer Iqbal Hussain, during an interview given to UPUKLive, had made serious allegations against MLA Nawab Jan Khan of not working for the public. Now countering these allegations, the MLA while talking to UPUKLive has not only broken his silence but also reminded Iqbal Hussain of the time when his chair was in danger.

Strong reply from MLA Nawab Jan Khan

Responding to Iqbal Hussain’s allegations, MLA Nawab Jan Khan said that the public sees everything in politics. Iqbal Saheb has claimed in his interview that whenever a complainant goes to the MLA for work, I shrug it off by saying that ‘we do not have a government in the state.’ Expressing strong objection to this, the MLA said that this allegation is completely baseless and beyond the truth.

When the MLAs were standing together during the no-confidence motion

MLA Nawab Jan Khan reminded Iqbal Hussain of the year 2017 when the politics of the state had completely changed. The MLA said, “Maybe Iqbal Saheb has forgotten, but let me remind him that in 2017, when the BJP government was formed in Uttar Pradesh, a no-confidence motion was moved against him.”

Nawab Jan Khan further said that in those difficult times he stood firmly behind Iqbal Hussain. He not only made a strategy to defeat the no-confidence motion, but also hosted all the area panchayat members (BDC members) of the area at his personal residence to keep them safe.

‘If I were weak…’

Taking his point further, the SP MLA said in an aggressive manner that if he had been such a weak and incompetent public representative as Iqbal Hussain is trying to project, then a no-confidence motion would have been passed against him immediately and he would have had to lose his block chief position. The MLA said sarcastically that favors do not work in politics and if Iqbal Saheb’s memory has become weak, then he should look back at the pages of history.

At present, after this counterattack by MLA Nawab Jan Khan, now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the next step of Engineer Iqbal Hussain.
