SSC Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 227 posts, including Upper Division Clerk; apply immediately..

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has initiated the application process for 227 posts, including that of Upper Division Clerk. This is an internal promotion examination aimed at filling vacancies across various Central Government departments. Only candidates currently in government service—specifically those working as Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSAs) or Lower Division Clerks (LDCs)—are eligible to apply. 

Under this recruitment drive, vacancies will be filled as follows: 76 posts in the Central Passport Organization and Ministry of External Affairs; 42 in the Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service; 19 in the Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service; 24 in the Central Administrative Tribunal; 6 in the Central Vigilance Commission; 12 in the Election Commission of India; 4 in the Forest Survey of India (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change); 8 in the National Technical Research Organisation; 8 in the Directorate General of Defence Estates; and 28 in the Office of the Development Commissioner (Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises).

**Last Date to Apply: June 26**
The application process for these posts began on June 5, and the deadline to apply is June 26. Candidates must fill out the prescribed registration form on the Commission's official portal. After applying online, candidates are required to send a hard copy of their application form, along with all relevant documents, via post to the address: 'Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block No. 12, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003' by 6:00 PM on July 3.

**Selection Process**
Candidates will be selected based on a written examination, service records, document verification, and a merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100.

**Exam Schedule**
The Computer-Based Examination (CBT) is likely to be conducted between July and August.
