Indiaemploymentnews | June 9, 2026 3:39 PM CST

Delhi University (DU) has extended the registration deadline for admission to its postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Students who have not yet applied can now complete their registration via the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal until June 9. Along with extending the registration deadline, the university has also announced revised dates for the correction window. Registered students will be able to modify or update their application forms from 10:00 AM on June 10 to 5:00 PM on June 11.

**Admission Based on CUET PG Scores**
Delhi University will conduct the admission process for its postgraduate courses through the CSAS portal. Only students who have qualified for the CUET PG exam can register for admission, as the process relies on CUET PG scores. To streamline the admission process, the university has introduced an auto-integration facility via DigiLocker and API Setu. This feature allows for the automatic retrieval of details—such as the student's name, date of birth, gender, category, parents' names, and CUET PG 2026 marks—during registration.

**Launch of New One-Year and Two-Year Master's Courses**
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Delhi University has introduced both one-year and two-year master's degree courses for graduates. Students currently in the third or fourth year of their undergraduate studies who have appeared for the relevant CUET PG 2026 exam are eligible to apply for the two-year master's course.

Meanwhile, students pursuing a four-year undergraduate honours degree with a focus on research or entrepreneurship, or those who have already completed a four-year undergraduate degree with a major subject, will be eligible for the one-year postgraduate course. The university stated that applications for the one-year postgraduate course will be submitted via a separate portal, the details of which will be announced later.

What is the application fee?
Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes-Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹250 per course, whereas the fee is set at ₹100 per course for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories.
