Google AI Threat Defense: Google has launched a new cybersecurity model. It is considered a direct competitor to Claude Mythos and Daybreak. However, its operational approach is slightly different.
Google AI Threat Defense: Last month, the American AI company Anthropic launched its Claude Mythos model. This model is so powerful that it is capable of hacking into any software. Given this potential threat, the company has not yet rolled it out to the public. To compete with it, OpenAI launched its Daybreak model just a few days ago, and now Google has also entered the race. Google has introduced a new cybersecurity model called “Google AI Threat Defense.” Google states that this tool continuously monitors AI-driven threats and neutralizes them before they can take effect.
Capable of Instantly Fixing Software Vulnerabilities
In a blog post, Google explained that this tool enables companies to identify potential attack vectors, prioritize the most critical threats, and immediately patch any vulnerabilities. This ensures that software flaws cannot be exploited.
Google’s New Model Differs from Claude Mythos and Daybreak
Google noted that a significant challenge with existing AI cybersecurity systems is that they constantly inundate security teams with thousands of AI-generated alerts. While Claude Mythos and Daybreak continuously detect vulnerabilities and issue alerts, not every detected flaw necessarily poses a major threat. Google is now striving to resolve this specific issue. This platform integrates code scanning with cloud security platforms to determine whether a detected vulnerability could actually be exploited via the internet or through live network configurations. If the platform identifies a significant vulnerability but determines that it would have no impact on the rest of the system, it will automatically lower that vulnerability’s priority level. This will provide developers and security teams with ample time to address active threats.
Google’s Model Will Operate Differently in This Regard as Well
A major differentiator of this platform lies in its approach to bug fixes. While OpenAI’s system suggests patches based on specific bugs, Google’s platform operates differently. Under human supervision, this platform utilizes AI agents to rewrite legacy code, thereby translating it into modern programming languages. Furthermore, prior to deployment, the platform verifies whether the patches being released to fix a bug will function effectively.
