Ranchi. Jharkhand government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA), giving big relief to the government employees and pensioners of the state. This important proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Thousands of employees and retired pensioners are going to get direct benefits from this decision of the government. Amid rising inflation, the increase in DA is being considered as a big gift for the employees.
Those in seventh pay scale will get more benefits
According to the decision of the Cabinet, dearness allowance of employees and pensioners falling under the seventh pay scale has been increased from 58 percent to 60 percent. This will see an increase in the monthly income of the employees. The government says that this decision has been taken with the aim of providing financial relief to the employees so that the impact of rising inflation can be reduced to some extent.
Increase in sixth and fifth pay scale also
Not only the seventh pay scale, but also employees of other pay scales have been given relief. Under the sixth pay scale, DA has been increased from 257 percent to 262 percent. In the fifth pay scale, dearness allowance has been increased from 474 percent to 483 percent. Different categories of employees and pensioners will benefit from this decision.

A total of 39 proposals were approved in the Jharkhand cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. Among these, the decision to increase DA of employees is considered to be the most important. The state government believes that it is necessary to provide financial relief to the employees from time to time, so that they can perform their responsibilities in a better way.
