Recently, Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) President Poonam Dhillon has expressed disappointment over the ban imposed on Ranveer Singh by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) after his sudden exit from Don 3.

Expressing disappointment, he said that neither FWICE nor the veteran actor informed CINTAA, which is an official trade union and representative body of artists and actors in Bollywood and Indian television, in this regard.

we could solve this issue

Poonam Dhillon told Variety India, “It is a very strange situation because the issue is about one of our members, but neither the artist, nor the producer, nor the federation informed us or took us into confidence. We could have tried to resolve the issue. Our organization is formed with the sole purpose of resolving such disputes or any problems that arise between actors and producers.” She further added, “Ranveer, being part of CINTAA, could have included us and contacted us so that we can try to resolve the issue in a more amicable manner. I would like every actor to follow through on his commitments in the best possible way. If there is a problem, he should resolve it himself and if necessary, should contact the association so that we can resolve it together. The truth is that we don’t really know much, so I can’t say who.” That’s all I know.”

Film workers body bans Ranveer Singh

FWICE on Monday issued a non-cooperation direction against actor Ranveer Singh in protest against his sudden exit from Don 3. The decision comes more than five months after filmmaker Farhan filed a formal complaint with the federation regarding the actor’s withdrawal from the ‘Don 3’ project. Many Bollywood celebrities including Manoj Bajpayee have expressed their opposition to this.
