necessary materials

  • Sattu of roasted barley and roasted gram – 4 tablespoons
  • Cold water – 2 glasses
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – half teaspoon
  • Common salt – as per taste
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Finely chopped onion – 1 teaspoon
  • Green coriander and mint – 1 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped green chillies – a little
  • Ice cubes – as required

How to make at home?

  • First of all, put Sattu in a big vessel or jug. Add a little cold water to it and mix it well so that lumps do not form in it.
  • Now add remaining water into it and then add black salt, common salt, roasted cumin and lemon juice and mix well.
  • After this add finely chopped onion, green chilli, mint and green coriander.
  • Finally, add ice to the glass and serve this cold and delicious sherbet. This drink helps in keeping the body cool in summer and gives instant freshness.
