According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received at Amar Colony police station at 7:54 pm on Tuesday regarding the firing incident in Amar Colony area. In the call, information was given about firing at a food shop in the area. As soon as the information was received, local police, SHO and ACP reached the spot, but by then the injured victim had been taken to Moolchand Hospital. Police officials immediately reached the hospital and took stock of the condition of the victim, where he was found unconscious on ventilator support. After the incident, the police team is scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby, so that the attackers can be identified and arrested soon.

According to the initial investigation of the police, the age of the injured youth is 17 years. His father runs a laundry in Chhatarpur Enclave area. Police said that the teenager was eating food at a food stall with his friends at the time of the incident. Investigation revealed that after some time, a group of boys passed by and one of them hit the victim’s chair with his hand or body. The victim objected to this, after which an altercation started between the two parties. Police are investigating the entire incident and scanning CCTV footage to identify the accused.

Accused absconding after shooting

According to the police, the group of boys had initially left the place but returned after about 4-5 minutes. It is alleged that one of the youths fired one round at the victim and fled from the spot. The teenager injured by the bullet was first taken to a nearby hospital, later he was referred to AIIMS Trauma Center, where his treatment is ongoing. According to doctors, his condition is serious but stable. Delhi Police has registered a case in the matter and started legal action. The crime team was also called to inspect the spot.
