India once again reprimanded Pakistan in the United Nations Security Council on the issue of terrorism and Jammu and Kashmir. Showing a mirror to Pakistan, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN P Harish said that strong action will be taken against cross-border terrorism. He also warned of facing its consequences.

P Harish said, “I am forced to respond to the baseless and unnecessary comments made by Pakistan today. India wants to clarify the facts. Independent India started its journey fighting Pakistan’s cross-border aggression. Pakistan wanted to occupy Indian territories which had become part of India completely legally and forever.”

The policy of ‘making India bleed by giving a thousand wounds’

He further said, “Pakistan has violated the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and peaceful co-existence by waging multiple wars and unprovoked attacks on India and by continuously promoting cross-border terrorism. Pakistan’s use of cross-border terrorism and its policy of ‘making India bleed with a thousand wounds’ exposes its hollow claims of commitment to the UN Charter.”

‘There will be serious consequences’

P Harish said, “India has every right to protect itself from such cross-border terrorism. Pakistan will have to accept that its actions in promoting cross-border terrorism will have serious consequences.”

‘Support to terrorism must stop completely and forever’

“Pakistan has consistently used the evil forces of terrorism, religious fanaticism, violent extremism and anti-India propaganda since its inception. The facts in this regard are available in the public record and do not require any further explanation. Pakistan must completely and forever end its support for terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he warned.
