Tezzbuzz Desk- The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2026 has now become not just a match but a big battle for the ticket to the final. The toss of this match to be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala will be at 7 pm and the first ball will be bowled at 7:30 pm. Both the teams have been in great form this season, but what is making this match special are the 4 big reasons which have increased the excitement further.

The first reason is Gujarat Titans’ lack of experience in Dharamshala. This will be the first time that Gujarat Titans will play on this ground after coming into the league in the year 2022. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has played here before and has won against Punjab Kings by scoring 222 runs in IPL 2026.

The second big reason is that both the teams are facing each other for the first time in the playoffs. So far, there have been 8 matches between RCB and GT in IPL, in which both have won 4-4 matches. But this is their first encounter in the playoffs, which has increased both the pressure and excitement.

The third reason is the similar performance in the last three seasons. From 2023 till now, both the teams have been among the strongest teams in the league. According to the statistics, both RCB and GT have won 34-34 matches and lost 24-24 matches during this period, due to which the performance of both has been almost equal.

The fourth and most important reason is the final ticket. The team that wins Qualifier 1 will directly advance to the IPL final. The special thing is that till now only the team that has won Qualifier 1 12 times has become the champion, which includes the last 8 consecutive seasons. This figure makes this match even more important. Now it has to be seen which team can handle the pressure in this high-voltage match and get a direct ticket to the finals.
