Border Road Organization has issued recruitment for various posts (BRO Recruitment 2026). For which the application process has started. Offline candidates can apply till 4th July 2026. The last date of application for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh, some districts of Jammu and Kashmir, selected districts of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep is 19 July 2026. It is advised to read the notification before filling the form, which provides information from eligibility to selection process.
The number of vacancies is 899. There are 42 vacancies for Draftsman, 10 for Hindi Typist, 300 for Store Keeper Technical, 261 for Operator (Communication), 207 for Operator Excavation Machinery (General Grade) and 79 for Electrician. Candidates have to fill all the information correctly in the application form and send it to “Commandant, GREF Centre, Dighi Camp, Pune 411015”.

It is advisable to print the application in A4 size. Be sure to add signature, photograph, thumb impression etc. in it. The application fee for General, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 50. SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted from fee payment. Candidates can pay the fee online, the link of which is available in the notification and official website. Make sure to attach a copy of the e-receipt with the application form.
Eligibility and Age Limit
For OEM (OG), Operator and Electrician posts, it is mandatory to have 10th pass. For the remaining posts, one must have passed 12th from any recognized school or board. Apart from this, certificate or experience in the field will also be required, which will depend on the post for which you are applying. Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 27 years. SC/ST will be given relaxation of 5 years, OBC will be given 3 years and PWBD candidates will be given relaxation of up to 10 years. Candidates are advised to check the official notification for eligibility information.
selection process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test, trade test/typing test, physical efficiency test, medical test and document verification. The syllabus for the exam is included in the notification. The trade test will be conducted at GREF Center with 40% marks being mandatory to qualify.
