Arsenal are officially set to be crowned the champions of England this afternoon, as Mikel Arteta’s side wrap up the 2025/26 Premier League season with a clash against Crystal Palace.

Supporters around the world remain in high spirits after the club finally ended a 22-year league title drought earlier this week, following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday. And now, another reason for celebration has emerged.

With Arteta opting to rotate his squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain, teenage prospect Max Dowman has been handed a place in the starting line-up for the Gunners.

In doing so, the young England international has made history by becoming the youngest-ever player to start a Premier League match at just 16 years and 144 days old, further enhancing his growing reputation in English football.

Many fans and pundits are already wondering if Hale End has produced yet another exceptional homegrown star for Arsenal to nurture, following in the footsteps of Bukayo Saka and Myles Lewis-Skelly. Judging by early impressions, the answer might well be yes.
